During my travels, I would often run into “Ex-Clevelanders” and there was an immediate strong indescribable pride and bond to all things “Cleveland”. To be convinced, all you have to do is wander into a Browns Backers Bar during football season in one of the 344 cities across the Globe. The ice breaker is always what neighborhood or suburb are you from? That steers discussions of mostly fond memories of the 216. (except for sports and the winter weather!).
So what is it about Cleveland? The food? The music? The neighborhoods? Maybe it’s the reputation as a tough, gritty, industrial city that always fights back?
Whatever it is, I’m pursuing my passion of helping others locate and connect with their personal family history.
